DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The north and southbound lanes of I-35 just south of Mesaba Avenue will be closing overnight on Monday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the closure is needed to place beams for a new pedestrian bridge at that location.
The full closure will begin at 10 p-m Monday (8/17) and last until 5 a-m on Tuesday (8/18).
The detour will use I-535, Garfield Avenue, Railroad Street and 5th Avenue West.
Work on the replacing the pedestrian bridge is expected to continue until early October with lane shifts and occasional lane and ramp closures in the area during the construction.
