DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department was called to the Greysolon Plaza building in the 200 block of East Superior Street at 5:23 p-m Friday on reports of smoke coming from an 8th floor window.
Arriving firefighters were able to contain the fire to a single apartment unit.
One resident was displaced due to water damage and is being assisted by the Red Cross. One person was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation but no other injuries were reported.
8th floor residents were temporarily evacuated but returned to their apartments when the fire was extinguished.
Damage was listed at 70 thousand dollars and the incident is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
