GNESEN TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – A fire Monday in the 6700 block of the Rice Lake Road in Gnesen Township has taken the life of 76 year old Neil Gordon Hendrickson.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the fire in a pole barn was likely caused by the use of a grinder and blow torch while work was being done on a vehicle.
A number of regional fire departments responded to the scene of the fire that was reported around 1 p-m on Monday. The structure was fully engulfed in fire when crews arrived.
The incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota Fire Marshal and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
