DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin will see a wintry mix of rain, freezing drizzle and snow from late Wednesday into early Friday.
The south shore will also get lake effect snow thanks to strong winds off Lake Superior.
Further north, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Wednesday night through late Thursday night for the possibility of 4 to 6 inches of snow along with winds gusting to 40 miles per hour.
Visibilities will be an issue at times with the falling and blowing snow.
The Watch includes northern St. Louis County, Cook County and parts of Lake County.
Below zero temperatures return across the region Thursday night with wind chill values reaching 20 below into Friday.
