DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office has committed 12 thousand dollars in criminal forfeiture proceeds to help support veterans in the district’s Veterans Treatment Court.
The funds will enroll participants in the national Challenge America Music Therapy Retreat Program.
The program was launched in 2009 by Amy Grant, Vince Gill and numerous other celebrities. It uses the healing power of music to help vets cope with post traumatic stress and military sexual trauma.
County Attorney Kim Maki says they are pleased to use the proceeds of criminal property forfeiture to further the healing of justice-involved veterans.
