DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – With the purchase of 18 acres of land in the Atlas Industrial Park, Amazon is planning to use the site for one of its distribution centers.
The brownfield redevelopment land is at 2302 Commonwealth Avenue in Duluth near the site of the old Atlas Cement Plant.
Chad Ronchetti, the City’s Director of Planning and Economic Development, says the purchase is a significant win for the community and expects this will open the door to another 28 acres at the site that is shovel ready and available for development.
