SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The University of Wisconsin-Superior and Cenovus Energy’s Superior Refinery have announced a partnership to benefit the university and enhance the on-campus athletic facilities.
The agreement provides 450 thousand dollars from Cenovus to purchase a video board for the Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium and sponsor the “Fan Zone”, an area designed to create a pre-game environment for spectators during game days at the stadium.
Funds will also be used for a Women in Leadership program, helping to develop the next generation of female leaders at UWS and in the community.
The soccer and track stadium is under construction and is expected to open next fall.
