DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Working smoke detectors alerted residents of a Duluth duplex of a fire early Friday morning.
Three adults, two dogs and a cat were all able to safely escape the fire at 2228 West 1st Street.
The Duluth Fire Department was called at 4:42 a-m and arrived within three minutes to knock down the fire in one of the two side-by-side units.
Damage was estimated to be around 85 thousand dollars and there were no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the residents displaced due to the damage.
