SAWYER COUNTY, WI (KDAL) – A 31 year old Radisson, Wisconsin resident was arrested Friday by Sawyer County authorities following a stabbing and stand-off.
The incident occurred at the Get Hooked bar in the Village of Radisson just before 8 a-m.
The victim, who fled the bar to a residence next door, was taken to a Ladysmith hospital and then airlifted to another medical facility for treatment.
SWAT teams from Sawyer and surrounding counties were unsuccessful in attempts to negotiate with the suspect who remained in the bar.
Chemical munitions were then deployed into the building and, with the assistance of a tactical robot, members of the SWAT team were able to take the suspect into custody.
He was jailed on a variety of charges including recklessly endangering safety, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The incident remains under investigation.
