DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A neighbor who heard smoke alarms and saw smoke coming from the kitchen windows of a home in the 400 block of North 39th Avenue West in Duluth on Sunday called 911.
Duluth Firefighters responded within three minutes and were able to keep the fire from spreading from the kitchen area.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire, but crews found an uninjured pet bulldog on the second floor.
The fire was ruled accidental and damages were estimated at 5 thousand dollars to the structure and another thousand dollars to kitchen contents.
The fire was reported at 3:20 Sunday afternoon.
