DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – At 8 p-m on Sunday night, Duluth Police responded to the report of shots being fired out of a vehicle on I-35 around 27th Avenue West.
A short time later officers had a report of a vehicle crashing in the area of the 4700 block of the Miller Trunk Highway. That turned out to be the same car involved in the shooting.
According to police, the incident began as a verbal argument between a male and female in the vehicle and at one point the male fired a gun out the window.
There were no injuries as the result of the shooting.
Officers determined the female was driving when the shooting occurred but she got out of the car and the male drove off and crashed a short time later.
Following treatment at a hospital for his injuries, the man was arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm, 2nd degree assault, carrying while intoxicated and driving while impaired.
