DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The North Shore Inline Marathon is celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend.
It begins Friday with an Expo at the DECC featuring over 70 vendors and race packet pickup from noon to 9 p-m.
On Saturday the full marathon will see inline skaters race down the North Shore to the finish line in downtown Duluth.
Other associated events will include an inline skate Half Marathon, a roller-ski marathon and half marathon, the City of Duluth Tunnel 10K skate, the Aspirus Health Half Marathon and the Finden Marketing Tunnel 10K runs.
The event is expected to bring thousands of skaters, runners, spectators, volunteers and visitors to the area.
Motorists should plan for detours and delays along the course from 6 a-m to about 2 p-m. I-35 and scenic Highway 61 will be closed and detour routes will be marked.
