DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The annual Christmas City of the North Parade will be held through downtown Duluth on Friday evening.
The parade will require some road closures and detours beginning around 4 p-m for setup until traffic returns to normal by about 9 p-m.
The parade will be held on Superior Street from in front of Fitgers at 6th Avenue East to 4th Avenue West.
The parade lineup will require London Road to close from 10th to 17th Avenues East starting at 4 p-m. Superior Street closes to traffic from 8th Avenue East to 12th Avenue East at 5:30 and extending to 5th Avenue West at 5:45.
Parking restrictions will also be in place and vehicles in no parking zones will be tagged and towed. Free parking will be available in several downtown parking ramps after 5 p-m.
Drivers in the downtown area are asked to be especially cautious during the event and watch for pedestrians.
