Ore Dock Shed Destroyed By Fire

DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department was called to the CN Rail facility and ore docks in the 200 block of South 37th Avenue West for a structure fire.

Crews arrived around noon on Sunday to find a maintenance shed on top of one of the docks fully involved in fire.

Fire crews were assisted by CN staff in fighting the blaze and prevent a spread to the ore docks or other structures on the property.

There were no injuries and damage estimates were estimated at 60 thousand dollars. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
