DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Grandma’s Marathon weekend full of running and entertainment in Duluth begins Thursday with the start of the Essentia Health Fitness Expo at the DECC.
The two day Expo features nearly a hundred vendors with the latest and best in running apparel, services and technology.
Also featured this year is Minnesota Olympian Dakotah Lindwurm who will be signing autographs from 10 to 11:30 Friday morning. The two time Grandma’s Marathon women’s champion will be running the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon this year.
Running legends Dick Beardsley and Carrie Tollefson will be hosting their pre-race talk show at 4 p-m on Friday.
Friday also features the Michelina’s All You Can East Spaghetti Dinner.
The Whipper Snapper races for kids will be on Friday afternoon at Bayfront Festival Park and the William A. Irvin 5-K begins Friday at 6 p-m.
The Half Marathon and full Marathon on Saturday morning start at 6 a-m and 7:45 a-m respectively.
The Rock the Bayfront Festival will feature live music Friday night and all day Saturday with several bands including Pop Rocks.
