DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – According to preliminary statistics from the National Weather Service, the summer of 2020 was the second warmest on record in Duluth.
The average temperature this summer, the months of June, July and August, was 67.1 degrees, just behind the record of 67.4 that was set during the summer of 2012.
Brainerd set a new record this summer with an average temperature of 71.1 degrees. Ashland had its 7th warmest summer ever, International Falls 14th warmest and it was the 35th warmest summer in Hibbing.
The fall season (September, October and November) is getting off to a slightly cooler than normal start with high temperatures only in the upper 50’s early next week.
