DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The first phase completion of improvements to Riverside Park will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday.
The Duluth Parks and Recreation Department’s ribbon cutting, beginning at 5 p-m, will be followed by a kids bike parade and family outdoor activities.
Riverside, at 55 Cato Street, is one of 13 parks along the St. Louis River corridor that are eligible for tourism tax funds.
Improvements at Riverside include replacing the playground equipment, tree planting, a half court basketball court, new grills, benches and picnic tables.
A 10 thousand dollar neighborhood match was met through cash donations, materials and in-kind volunteer labor.
