VIRGINIA, MN (KDAL) – Last week’s St. Louis County Tax Forfeited Property Auction saw 34 properties sold, bringing in nearly 600 thousand dollars.
Sales included two houses, a cabin, a large commercial building and properties where blighted buildings were demolished.
There are still more than 250 properties now available for sale on a first come, first served basis through the County’s Land and Minerals Department.
This was the final auction of the year with three more scheduled for February, June and October of 2020.
The County manages nearly 900,000 acres of tax forfeited land and sells some parcels to encourage development and increase the property tax base.
