DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has voted to approve Minnesota Power’s request for an extension in filing an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).
The delay was requested because of the economic uncertainty and challenges created by the COVID–19 outbreak.
The IRP outlines how the power company will meet expected energy needs of their customers over the next 15 years.
The new deadline for the plan is now February 1st of 2021 with interim reports due this fall.
