BRITT, MN (KDAL) – A 51 year old Britt man has been arrested in connection with a house fire on Friday afternoon.
St. Louis County Sheriff Deputies encountered the man walking on a nearby roadway while his home was on fire.
After speaking with the deputies he was arrested on arson related charges.
Several area fire departments responded to the fire in the 8600 block of Donnywood Circle in Britt.
The home sustained severe fire, smoke and water damage and three cats perished in the blaze.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
