DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – An updated study on the Duluth industrial sector released this week by the Seaway Port Authority shows that it generated 5.1 billion dollars in business revenues.
The information compiled by Northspan indicated that more than 9800 direct jobs were provided by the industrial sector with higher than average annual wages.
Other key findings in the report showed the industrial sector generated three times more tax revenue compared to the rest of Duluth’s economy.
Jobs in the sector are accessible to people with a wide range of educational backgrounds and provide opportunities for growth.
