ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has identified more than 200 road projects statewide for the 2026 construction period.
Major projects in the Duluth area include the road repaving, the construction of roundabouts and intersection improvements on Highway 61 and London Road.
The reconstruction of Highway 2 between Highway 194 and the Midway Road west of Proctor.
Resurfacing of Highway 53 from the Haines Road in Duluth to the Midway Road in Hermantown.
Also scheduled in northeast Minnesota is the repaving of Highway 169 between Ely and Winton.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter reduced speed limits, traffic changes and lane closures when work gets underway later this spring.
