DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Bogey, the bald eagle, has been a fixture at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth since 2001.
In recent months, the 26 year old bird has shown signs of declining health and was euthanized after he showed no signs of improvement following treatment.
Bogey was sent to the Aquarium from the Bird Treatment and Learning Center in Alaska when it was determined that nerve damage suffered in a fall from the nest as a chick left him unable to survive in the wild.
