ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has awarded over 4.8 million dollars to organizations around the state that provide young people with workforce development and training opportunities.
Among the groups sharing in the award are the City of Duluth Workforce Development and the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency in Virginia.
The grants will help connect young people with good paying jobs in high growth industries.
The DEED Commissioner, Matt Varilek, says youth development and job training is critical to the well being of communities and the state’s economy.
