DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department responded to a Sunday morning house fire in the 3200 block of Restormal Street in Lincoln Park.
They arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the 2nd story and attic of the building.
The three residents of the home and three dogs escaped the fire but one dog died and two cats are missing.
Initial damage estimates were placed at 150 thousand dollars to the structure and contents.
The mother and two daughters who were displaced are being helped by the Red Cross and caring neighbors.
A total of 22 firefighters from three stations were on the scene for over 3 hours in brutally cold conditions.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.
