DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – After interviewing 17 candidates for the position, the Duluth School Board on Monday appointed Kelly Durick Eder to fill the vacant At-Large seat.
Dr. Eder is an Assistant Professor at the College of St. Scholastica.
Board Chair Rosie Loeffler-Kemp says she is excited about the background and skill set that Dr. Eder brings to the Board and her knowledge and familiarity with the school district and issues impacting public education.
Dr. Eder will serve from November 1st to January of 2021. She could also choose to run in a special election in November of 2020 to fill the remainder of Josh Gorham’s term.
Of the 21 people who applied for the open seat, three withdrew and another did not appear for an interview.
