DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A multi-agency effort to help stop the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) in lakes and rivers around the state begins Friday and continues through the coming week.
The Great Lakes Aquatic Invasive Species Landing Blitz will inform boaters and others how to clean boats and other procedures to identify and prevent the spread of AIS.
On Sunday from 9 to 3, special events will take place as part of the Landing Blitz at several locations. Among the sites are the Munger Landing and Rice’s Point Landing in Duluth, the Agate Bay Boat Launch in Two Harbors, Beaver House in Grand Marais and HooDoo Point North in Tower.
